Family Accounts & Billing Sponsors
Bliply supports linked billing so that one account can pay for another member's subscriptions. There are two ways this works:
Family Members
If your account is linked as a family member under a parent account, all your membership subscription charges are automatically billed to the parent account's payment method. You still have your own full profile, bookings, attendance, and app access — only the billing is shared.
- You can see your billing status on your Profile page — it will show who is paying for your subscription.
- Family member links are set up by your gym — you cannot create or change these yourself.
Billing Sponsors
A billing sponsor is someone who pays for your subscriptions without being your parent account. This is used for corporate sponsorships, partner arrangements, or any other payment-sharing setup.
- If someone is sponsoring your billing, you'll see a Billing Status card on your profile showing who your sponsor is.
- If you are sponsoring someone else, you'll see who you are paying for.
- Billing sponsor links can only be set up or removed by gym administrators.
How Billing Priority Works
When a subscription is charged, the system checks in this order:
- Parent account — If you are a family member, the parent pays.
- Billing sponsor — If a sponsor link exists, the sponsor pays.
- Your own payment method — If neither of the above applies, you pay directly.
