Privacy, Consent & Your Data
What your gym can see
Your gym's coaches and staff can see your membership, bookings, attendance, logged results, PRs, and anything you flag in the injury logger. Progress photos and personal notes stay private to you unless you share them.
What other members can see
Only your name, avatar and any leaderboard results or badges your gym shows publicly within the app. Never your contact details, billing or health information.
Consents you control
- Marketing emails — opt out from the footer of any marketing email or from your profile.
- Notifications — choose the optional push types under Profile → Notifications.
- Cross-gym records — if you train at more than one Bliply gym you are asked before your PRs are shared between them.
- Contracts and waivers — signed documents are stored against your profile and can be reviewed there.
Requesting your data or deletion
Contact your gym in the first instance — they are the controller of your membership data. They can export or remove your record.
Asking for a copy of your data
You can ask your gym for a copy of the personal information they hold about you. This is called a Subject Access Request.
- Ask your gym in whichever way is easiest — in person, by email, or through the app message inbox. You do not need to use any special wording.
- They normally have one month to respond. If the request is complex they can take longer, but they must tell you and explain why within that first month.
- You will usually receive a pack covering your profile and contact details, membership and payment history, bookings and attendance, messages sent to you, documents you signed, and any training or health information you recorded.
- Some information may be held back — for example anything that would reveal personal information about another person.
- It is free. Your gym can only charge if a request is clearly excessive or repeated.
You can also ask your gym to correct anything that is wrong, or to delete your record.
Can Bliply support read my messages?
Bliply is the software your gym uses. Our support team can see that a conversation exists and who sent what and when, but not the words — the text is hidden by default.
- If your gym reports a problem with messaging, a senior member of Bliply support can unlock the wording of a conversation for a short time in order to investigate.
- They must record who they are and why, and that record is shown to your gym in its activity log, so your gym always knows when it happened.
- Access is read-only and expires automatically. Bliply support cannot write messages in your conversations.
