Linking Tasks to Planning Boards

Tasks can be linked to a Planning Board to provide visual context for action items that arise during planning sessions.

Linking a Task

1. Open or create a Task from the Tasks section.
2. In the task form, find the Planning Board dropdown.
3. Select the relevant board. Only boards you have access to are shown.
4. Save the task.

Viewing Linked Boards from Tasks

When viewing a task's detail sheet, the linked Planning Board name appears as a clickable link. Clicking it opens the board directly in the fullscreen editor — this uses deep-linking via the boardId URL parameter.

Use Cases

• Meeting follow-ups — Plan ideas on a board, then create tasks for actionable items and link back to the board.
• Project planning — Use the board for the big picture and tasks for individual deliverables.
• Strategy breakdown — Map out strategy on a board, then break into executable tasks.
