How Bliply earns on gym payments
Alongside the subscription fee, Bliply takes a commission on payments a gym collects from its members through Stripe Connect. The rate depends on the gym's plan:
| Plan | Commission on member payments |
|---|---|
| Lite | 2% |
| Core | 1% |
| Engage | 0% |
This is deliberate: the higher the subscription tier, the lower the transaction cut, so a growing gym is rewarded for moving up rather than penalised for processing more.
Where it is applied
Commission is taken as the application fee on the member's Stripe payment, so it is deducted at the point of charge rather than invoiced separately. Stripe's own processing fee is charged on top and is not ours.
What to tell a gym
- Quote the commission as a percentage of member payments processed through Bliply, separate from Stripe's processing fee.
- When a gym on Lite or Core is processing high volume, model the upgrade: the commission saving often covers most of the subscription difference. Use the pricing calculator on the call.
- Commission does not apply to a gym's own subscription payment to Bliply.
Changing a rate
Rates are plan-level, not per-gym. A bespoke commercial arrangement must be reflected by moving the gym to the appropriate plan — do not attempt to set a one-off rate.
