Badge Template Management
Navigate to Content → Gym → Badge Templates to manage the achievement badges available to gyms.
What Badges Do
Badges are gamification elements awarded to gym members for achievements. They appear on the member's profile in the mobile app and can be shared. Badges drive engagement by recognising consistent effort.
Badge Properties
| Field | Purpose |

| Name | Display name (e.g. "Iron Streak", "Century Club") |
| Description | What the badge represents and how to earn it |
| Category | Grouping (e.g. Attendance, Performance, Milestone) |
| Icon | Lucide icon name or custom uploaded image |
| Tier Color | Visual differentiation: bronze, silver, gold, platinum |
| Rule Type | How the badge is awarded: manual, automatic, or event-based |
| Rule Config (JSON) | Criteria for automatic awarding (e.g. {"type": "attendance_streak", "days": 30}) |
| Gym Editable | Whether individual gyms can customise this badge's name, description, or icon |
Creating a Badge Template
- Click + Create Badge
- Fill in all fields — pay attention to the rule config for automatic awarding
- Set "Gym Editable" to true if you want gyms to customise this badge, false if it should be standardised
- Set sort order for display positioning
- Save — the badge becomes available to all gyms
Automatic Award Rules
Common rule types:
- attendance_streak — Awarded after X consecutive days of attendance
- total_classes — Awarded after attending X total classes
- milestone — Awarded at specific membership milestones (1 month, 6 months, 1 year)
- manual — Only awarded by gym staff manually (e.g. "Star Athlete" recognition)
