Roadmap Management
Navigate to Roadmap (Admin+ only) to manage the product development roadmap.
Roadmap Structure
| Level | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Phase | Major development milestones | Phase 1, Phase 2a, Phase 2b |
| Section | Feature groups within a phase | "Core Platform Functions", "Member App" |
| Item | Individual work items with status tracking | "Implement payroll module", "Add BXP scoring" |
Item Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Planned | Scoped and accepted but not yet started |
| In Progress | Currently being developed |
| Done | Completed, tested, and deployed to production |
| Deferred | Postponed to a later phase (with documented reason) |
Roadmap Item Notes
Each roadmap item has a notes field for recording:
- Technical specifications and architecture decisions
- Design requirements and mockup references
- Implementation details and edge cases
- Dependencies on other items or external factors
- Links to related Ideas board entries
Using the Roadmap Effectively
- Review the roadmap at the start of each sprint to plan work
- Update item statuses as work progresses
- Use notes to capture decisions so they're not lost in chat history
- Link completed items to their corresponding KB articles (see KB Maintenance)
