Warm-up Templates
Navigate to Platform → Content → Gym → Warm-up Templates to manage the warm-up templates that guide AI warm-up generation across all gyms.
How Templates Work
Warm-up templates are style guides for the AI, not direct replacements. When the AI generates a warm-up for a workout:
- The system finds the best-matching template based on movement tags
- The template is included in the AI prompt as a structural example
- The AI generates a unique warm-up tailored to that day's specific movements while following the template's structure and style
This gives gyms control over warm-up structure and coaching tone without limiting the AI's ability to create contextually appropriate content.
Managing Platform Templates
- Create new templates with descriptive names and movement tags
- Edit existing templates — changes only affect the platform master copy
- Activate/Deactivate templates to control which ones are distributed to new gyms
Distributing to Gyms
Automatic Seeding
When a new gym is created, all active platform warm-up templates are automatically cloned to the gym via the seed_gym_templates trigger. This works the same way as other gym templates (badges, kiosk, legal, website).
Push All
Click Push All to distribute templates to all existing gyms. The system:
- Uses
source_template_idto track which platform template each gym copy came from - Skips gyms that already have a copy of that template (prevents overwriting gym customisations)
- Only adds new templates that the gym doesn't already have
This means you can safely push new templates without worrying about overwriting a gym's customised versions.
Gym-Level Management
Gyms manage their warm-up templates in Workouts → Warm-up Templates for AI tab. They can:
- Edit template content, name, and tags
- Create gym-specific templates not linked to platform originals
- View version history and rollback to any previous version
- Delete templates they don't need
Best Practices
- Create templates for each major training modality (squat, pull, push, Olympic lifting, conditioning)
- Include clear structure: warm-up blocks, durations, and movement examples
- Use descriptive tags so the AI matches templates accurately
- Push new templates after creating them so existing gyms benefit too
