Coach Rotation
Automatically rotate coaches across recurring classes to distribute workload fairly and give members variety.
Setting Up Rotation
- Navigate to Schedule and find a recurring class group.
- Click the Rotation option on the class.
- Add coaches to the rotation pool — these are the coaches who will be cycled through.
- Set the sort order to define the rotation sequence.
- Select which days of the week the rotation applies to.
- Set a start date for the rotation to begin.
- Enable the rotation toggle.
How Rotation Works
- Coaches are assigned to classes in the order defined in the pool.
- After each cycle through the pool, it restarts from the beginning.
- If a coach is on leave, they are automatically skipped and the next available coach is assigned.
- Manual overrides (e.g. assigning a specific coach to a single instance) are respected without breaking the rotation sequence.
- Cover requests take precedence over rotation assignments.
Example
Pool: Coach A → Coach B → Coach C. If your class runs Monday–Friday:
- Monday: Coach A
- Tuesday: Coach B
- Wednesday: Coach C
- Thursday: Coach A
- Friday: Coach B
- Next Monday: Coach C (continues the cycle)
Rotation and additional coaches
Rotation only changes the lead coach. Any additional coaches on a class stay in place unless you change them on the class or template. If the rotated lead is already an additional coach on that class, they are not listed twice.
